At Wallop Primary School  it is our intention to enable children to develop the skills and

confidence in language learning. Children in KS2 will learn Spanish through an interactive scheme of work focusing on the development of skills in speaking and listening and reading and writing in the target language. It is our intention that children will leave the school with enthusiasm and interest in language learning which they can adapt to their learning of any language in KS3 and beyond.

We aim to provide children with the opportunities to develop key communication areas in each of the following strands:

• Listening
• Speaking
• Reading
• Writing
