Don't forget

PE kits, reading books and book bags should be in school everyday

PE days are Monday and Friday

This week in Kestrels

Our new topic this term is called Blast from the Past!

What a lovely first week back we have had! As the days are getting colder please remember to put names in our gloves, hats and coats. Please find attached our core knowledge being learnt over this half term!

During English this week, we spent time exploring our new focus text called The Story Machine by Tom McLaughin, which is a lovely story about a boy who finds a typewriter in his attic. During Maths, we have been exploring counting in our 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s with year 3 children beginning to explore counting in steps of 4s. During Life Skills we learnt about different people who help us when we are physically hurt. While in Computing, we learnt about online bullying and consent online. During DT, we explored wheels and axles on toy cars, with the aim of building our own toy cars in the coming weeks. If you have any small- medium sized (shoe box size) cardboard boxes you would be happy to let us use, please can your children bring them into school by next Friday 15th November. Furthermore, if you have any circular objects that could be used as wheels it would be great to bring these in too, like milk lids or cotton wheels from thread.
