Our children must have been good this year.  Today they had a surprise visit from Santa who turned up on a Fire Engine.  (Rudolph must be taking a break before the big day).

  • Cinderella Rockafella

Wed 14 Dec 2016 Claire Rawlinson

What an amazing performance of Cinderella Rockerfella. Lots of fun, laughter and beautiful singing.  It was lovely to see so many parents at all of the performances too.  Well done to you all.

Thank you to all the staff for making these performances great and to the PTA for supporting them and providing tea, coffee and mince pies.

The children in Years 1, 2 and 3 performed a charming version of the old tale ‘Babushka’.  The singing and acting was fantastic – well done to you all.

  • Christmas Dinner

    Fri 09 Dec 2016

We would like to thank Mrs Gates and the cooks for all the hard work in putting the Christmas Dinner together.

It was delicious and nearly all the school ate, laughed and pulled crackers together whilst the teachers served everyone.

  • Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children

    Fri 09 Dec 2016

Friday saw the children and staff becoming very festive being all dressed in Christmas jumpers.

We had a whole range of colours, and designs which were all equally festive.

We were following the charity day for Save the Children, which we knew was on the 16th December, but brought it forward to coincide with the Christmas dinner.

The school raised £88.90 towards Save the Children.

  • Victorian Day

    Thu 08 Dec 2016

On Thursday 8th December Buzzards Class were transported back in time for a special 'Victorian Day' in school where they gained first-hand experience of what it would be like to be a child in school during this period!

The children were very surprised when they came into school and were greeted by some rather strict teachers! Throughout the day, they had many traditional activities that involved real Victorian artefacts. Although they were learning under much stricter conditions, the children had great fun and a great day! Thank you to Mrs Brown and Mrs Shadwell who performed their part beautifully.

  • Yr 6 to Army Flying Museum

    Mon 05 Dec 2016

On Monday the Year 6 children from Eagles class were invited to the Museum of Army Flying to try out the new science study unit – on The Science of Flight. We were very lucky to be asked, as this unit is not yet available to any other schools.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned a lot about history of flight, alongside the science of flight – looking at specific developments in aeroplane and flight design.

Thank you to all the staff at the museum for this opportunity and for inviting the children.
